Louie Sprouse - Bass Player I Bus Driver

Louie Sprouse was born in Spartanburg, SC into a Southern Gospel Music family. His mother's family sang all over the country as The Moore Family. His mother began teaching him to play the guitar at the age of 5 years old. Louie played, traveling on the road, with his first part time group, The Calhoun Family at the age of 12 years old. Since then, the Lord blessed him with singing and playing with The Servant's Quartet. Louie sang with them for several years before he started singing and playing with his mother and his middle daughter Tammy as The Sprouse Family. Louie's mother became ill and couldn't travel, that’s when he started singing with The Victor Quartet (his Brother's Quartet). After some personnel change, Tammy and Sandy (his Baby Daughter) joined The Victor Quartet.

God opened the door for Louie to start singing full time with The Jesse Evatte Ministries. He was with Jesse about 2 years before joining The Palmetto State Quartet, in 1986, playing the Bass Guitar and driving the bus. After leaving The Palmetto State Quartet, Louie worked driving charter buses before starting a bus and tour company with his wife Gail.  Louie reformed The Sprouse Family singing for a  short time with his daughters.

I am truly blessed in so many ways. By joining The Pine Ridge Boys, God has, again, opened another door for me to share the talents that HE has given me to serve only HIM. Throughout the years, God has richly blessed me to witness many souls come to know the Lord. This is my desire for God to use me as a .willing vessel for HIM.

Louie is married to Gail Sprouse. Together, they have 3 daughters, (Brenda, Tammy and Sandy), 9 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. He and Gail live in Greer, SC.
